The 2012 European Charity ride was a huge success! Read on for a day to day account.

Day 1: London to Holland via Belgium - 13hrs on the road riding through rain and thunder. Route mainly consisted of motorway riding.

Day 2: Holland to Germany - 11 hrs on the road riding through rain and hailstones. Route mainly consisted of motorway riding. One biker dropped his bike at a junction after a long motorway ride due to his knee locking up. Bike was damaged but was still ride-able so he soldiered on.

Day 3: Germany to Austria - 12hrs on road. Sunny weather with a few outbreaks of rain. Route consisted of motorway riding leading to mountain roads and country roads. One rider had vomits and fever due to lack of rest and intense continues riding. This rider was taken in our support van with bike on day 4

Day 4: Austria to Italy - 13hrs on road riding through twisty mountain roads in sunny weather. One bike had a flat battery but we manages to get him going via our support crew and unfortunately one rider came off his bike due to tiredness leaving him with an injured shoulder/arm and a damaged bike which was un ride-able so this incident ended his tour.

Day 5: Italy to Switzerland - 8hrs on the road riding through stunning mountains and twisty roads. One rider had a near miss with another driver due to poor standards of driving in Italy but all was well and he charged on.

Day 6: Switzerland to France - 14hrs on the road. Weather conditions were good but the ride was now taking a toll on all riders. One group of riders had to pull in at services and have a power nap on the grass to be able to complete the days ride.

Day 7: France to London - 7hrs on the road. Two Riders ran out of fuel in France due to lack of service stations. Support crew were able to re fuel and get the riders back on the road. Nice weather but had a British welcome at Dover with hailstones.

So it wasn’t just a easy blast around Europe but a massive task which needed thorough planning and discipline. We saw a lot of pain, sweat, restlessness, and emotions during this ride. Riders falling ill, getting injured, damaging their bikes and also wanting to drop out not being able to take the grilling of the long hours of riding.

These guys have put in a lot of effort and went through a lot of pain and grilling through this ride covering their own costs throughout. Each rider paid anything between £600-£800 depending on their bike and all we are asking is for you to donate a few pounds which will go 100% to the charity. so please guys dig deep and donate what u can... All the money is for people who are less fortunate than us. Log on to www.justgiving.com/khalsabikers

Alone it's impossible but together we can change the world.
